Tree removal & dismantling
When a tree has to come down, it has to come down cleanly — without dropping a limb on a roof, a fence, or a prized hydrangea. That's where specialist dismantling comes in.

What it is
Removal is rarely as simple as "fell the tree". On premium urban properties, the tree is usually surrounded by things you'd rather not crush. We dismantle from the top down using rigging and lowering systems, taking the tree apart in pieces small enough to control. Where access allows, we'll fell whole sections — but only when it's the safest option for your property and our crew.
When you'd need it
A tree has died, become structurally unsound, or is at risk of failing
A tree is too close to a building, power line, or pool and the risk has grown beyond pruning
A development or renovation requires the removal — with proper consent
A storm has damaged the tree beyond recovery

FAQ
The questions we hear most.
Recent example

Macrocarpa removal beside a heritage villa, Remuera
A 22-metre macrocarpa had outgrown its position over a 1920s villa, with limbs reaching across the roof and a swimming pool beneath. Over two days we dismantled it section by section, rigging every piece down to a small landing zone on the front lawn. Lawn mats and garden boards protected the surrounding planting. The owner kept the larger rounds for firewood; everything else was mulched and removed.
